The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1997, aiming to advance legal education and research. It was inaugurated by His Excellency Shri. K.R. Narayanan, former President of India. TNDALU is the first full-fledged law university in India and South Asia, offering legal education exclusively through its campus and 16 affiliated colleges across Tamil Nadu. The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI), University Grants Commission (UGC), and other prestigious organizations.
